I was finishing up rebuilding the stock front Disk brakes (new calipers) on the duster when I noticed a leak coming from between the brake hose and caliper on both sides. I used the crush washers that came with the calipers.
It seemed that the crush washer was not thick enough causing the banjo fitting to hit the caliper before it was fully "crushed".
I ended up getting some more crush washers at a hose shop (local parts store didn't have any that fit as nice).
I also smoothed out the contact surface to provide better sealing. No more leaks!
[Each pic is of a different caliper]
maybe the fix was finding the thicker crush washers? What do you guys think? Did smoothing out the calipers help?
