Can someone tell me if the bleeder faces the front or back on 10" front drum brakes?

I just looked at a 72 e-body, and it is facing towards the front.

Can someone tell me if the bleeder faces the front or back on 10" front drum brakes?

Also note if the bleeder is offset to one side or the other of the cylinder because you want the bleeder as high as the design allows (because air bubbles rise)
