904 - 727 crossmember the same?

Hi everybody:

I'm sure asking the transmission questions the past two days aren't I ....
Anyway I was wondering if I could save a little cash and not have to buy another transmission crossmember for a 727. Are the two the same or different for a 904 and 727? If I have to buy another one to fit the 727 no big deal. Thanks

They are the same

And also the same for a four speed. There are two types of second gen a body cross members. 67 to 72 biscuit style mount and 72 to 76 spool mount type. Both work for 904, 727 and 4 speed (and I presume but cant confirm 3 speed manual). You can replace on with the other, both work just fine.
