I just put a 904 and 2800 stall in my car. The transmission will go In to reverse and works fine. Once I can finally get it in low because of a sloppy column shift linkage it seems ok, but when I out in drive it seems like it's taking g off in second or third. It runs up to like 2500 rpm before it starts moving. Now once I get rolling around 50mph in seems to be OK. I was told it could be a governor sticking? Can I remove this with transmission in car? Is it difficult to get to? This transmission was rebuilt and set for roughly 8 months and this is its first run. Also has a B&m street strip shift kit. help. I just want to enjoy my car.
