On a 904 can I switch the clutch pack and drum from a 4 clutch drum to a 5 clutch drum. Will it bind against the pump? Any other issues?
Thanks

must have the correct pump to change out the drums...

you can put 5 clutches in a 4 clutches drum if you use the thin disc and steel....you are looking for .012 clearance per disc...check it dry

Final clearance is by snapring selection. You may have to machine the pressure plate, to achieve the clearance. I have run a little as .010/plate
I leave the wavy spring in them, on the street, to cushion engagements.

Especially the in the hi-drum, to cushion the shift into reverse

I have cut the piston and pressure plate down to fit 5 in a 4, but I really wouldn't recommend it to the average Joe.
