A-500 and A518 question

The gaskets are the same, so unless there is some mechanical reason I'm saying yes.
 
Yes : the a518 has 1 more clutch in each unit, but they are interchangable.
 
how to over haul the overdrive on a 46rh..46re..42rh...all the same..
