A body front anti-sway bar bushings

Can anyone tell me how the heck to remove the 2 rubber frame bushings from their brackets on a 69 Dart anti-sway bar? They're the triangular shaped pieces of rubber that sit inside the metal brackets that mount to the frame. I can't seem to get them out so I can disassemble them and paint the brackets. If I can't seperate them, I'll mask off the bar and shoot the brackets while it's assembled! LOL
