I am using Aeroquip stainless a/c hose and fittings. Problem is the evaporator firewall fitting is a 12AN.. How can I convert that from the 12AN to the 10AN aeroquip stainless fittings? Anybody done this?? Thanks

But those are AN flare? Isn't the Aeroquip a/c fittings what they call A/C O ring fittings and not Flare??

Sorry I didn't catch that in your initial post. I caught the AN portion and was thinking back to a previous career. The o ring pilot is something new to me. Maybe contact aero quip and ask. Wasn't trying to mis lead you.

I think I just did this....I had my local (auto) A/C shop make a 90 degree #12 (firewall / bulkhead fitting) to #10 hose crimp connection

A photo to show the problem you are trying to solve would surely help. Perhaps you could have a hose made w/ a #12 fitting on one end and a #10 on the other end. Find out if truely AN flare fittings. Most after-market AC hoses are O-ring type. Old under-dash units used SAE flare (different than AN).
