1968 dart GTS convertible
Hey guys !
I been searching the net for info regarding a 65 barracuda formula S with a A833 4 speed trans with trunnion style tailshaft flange and hurst shifter . I need to decode the trans . appears someone has tinkered with the trans before it all clean and painted green and somone wrote "hemi" on it with ink pen . I'd like to get at least the year of the trans if you can help. I seen that formula for decoding the year but I just can't comprehend it. here is all the info that is on the trans . There is not flat pad with numbers stamped on it anywhere .
driverside C - 8 (or a 9) could not make it out clear 58 (6 or a 8) 4 J
under that is 8x27
On the pass side is 95639 under that 9x13x6863 .
short tailshaft with shifter linkage towards rear. one 3 bolt flat flange. has a 3 finger clutch , don't know the size . It has a real low first gear in it.
