Hi I would like to know if a b body hurst shifter would fit a a body a a833 4 speed transmission or not any feed back would be appreciated thanks rick
 
B-body shifter is going to be a lot longer and probably mash your fingers/hand into the steering wheel in 2nd gear and look rather dis-proportioned in the interior

is this a console shifter your talking about ...???
 
The shifter itself is the same. The issue ,as stated is the shifter handle being too long. Is it a push in shifter handle or bolt in handle? Also, linkage to the transmission will be different.
 
Hurst pistol grip handle for '71 - '74 B-body Bench seat cars (also works well in 1967 to 1976 A-body cars with bucket seats) requires bolt-on style shifter mechanism.
 
Ok thanks no not a console car this is in a rh drive car that I currently converting from LH to RH drive
