And then there's this. I thought it was CGI when I first saw it.

Puts a new perspective on mountain climbing. COOL
Lot of em looked to have rear steer too.
Expensive little toys I imagine.

Agreed, I'll bet they are not cheap. Looks like most have been converted to propane too. I know if I had one I'd get busted in 10 seconds flat. I'd have to take it out for a blast to get smokes or a gallon of milk.

If I had an unlimited, bottomless bank account....

Doug,

On that first vid, that Ford is freakin' screaming. Incredible! On the second, that suspension is a think of beauty, just watching it work is amazing.

The only article I could find on that F150 is old, all the pictures are missing, with out the pictures it is just not worth looking at. The suspension on those trucks is down right amazing. Coil over shocks for the springs, multi tube by-pass shocks for the dampening and air bumps for the bump stops. Hiem joints that are beyond gigantic. If only I had the $$$ lol.....

I was the team photographer for FST Motorsports for a few years. I got to ride in their Chevy Avalanche trophy truck many times. I've done a lot of things, but there is nothing I've done that was exciting as floating over unbelievably rough terrain at mach speed:D

The orange Explorer is my own desert ride.

That was a great vid, but the Jeep is a Suzuki Samurai! ;)

That would be a blast!
I'd wear a full face though.

Yeah, me too. Most of those people aren't even wearing eye protection... BTW, did you catch the hot blonde driver?

No kidding Doug.. IIRC Jesse James built a trophy truck and raced it but suffered mechanical failure and that guy's got some cash.

My buddy, Doug Hare, was involved with a few different guys doing there transmissions over the years. He used to do all of Greg Foutz's transmissions from what I remember. We were talking one day and your name came up, he said he knows you.....

Name doesn't sound familiar, but I would probably recognize him if I saw him. Old age;)
