Im working on gathering parts for my 4 speed install in a 71 cuda with 440. It will have a new aluminum lakewood bellhousing and I plan on running TTI headers and 11" flywheel. I mention this because it pertains to one of my questions. So here are a few things I am confused on.
1. Are the E body Z bars specific to big block and small block? I understand I may have to modify the bar to work with the TTI headers.
2. Measurement of the clutch fork I need for this application. I have two here but have no idea what they came from.
3. Can I run the 70-71 shift linkage rods with the 73-4 spool mount crossmember? Why did the reverse rod change for 73?

Thats it for now. I have had a couple 4 speed cars but never actually installed one. I've grown bored with automatics after 30 years of driving them.

It looks like the z-bars are specific to small or big block. Mancini has either one modified specifically for TTI headers.

RKlein, I have an oem fork with those dimensions so if that is the right one I am good.
Still trying to figure out why the change on the reverse rod in 73. Im guessing the spool mount takes up a little more room than the biscuit style.
