68 Barracuda w A/C, anyone know the amperage draw on High, Medium, and Low? It takes a 20A fuse, but I wouldn't think that it would take that much.

Never mind, I guess I had an amp meter after all. In case anyone else cares, I got 9.5 amps on high, 5.5 amps on medium, and 3.4 amps on low.

10A seems high to me. This late, no way to check, LOL

10 A on high seems normal to me....they always draw a lot on high. The blower and high beam lights combined are a good way to test load the alternator!

The 20A fuse would be expected to be higher than running current so that:
- It'll avoid 'nuisance' blows
- It'll have some overhead for the higher starting current.

It also depends on the condition of the motor.
I'll bet ya 100 bucks it draws somewhat more than it did when new.
