auto floor shifter

Has anyone ever installed a "T" handle shifter with their factory A body console ? (automatic) I know the factory didn't make one, but I think they look better than the original shifters. I bought one from Duncan Motorsports but it doesn't shift very well.

Not a T handle but I can do this to the original shifter...

It's a BMW knob
