AVS Carb is Kicking my A**

I've seen it happen when RTV does not cure completely. When it has set for 24 straight hours, it is impervious to fuel. That is the Permatex brand. I cannot speak for the lesser quality brands.

I used Dow-Corning. Top-drawer stuff. Can't say how long it cured for, though. Just for ***** & giggles, I will re-do the experiment...after waiting 24 hours.
I hope I'm proven wrong. I like RTV.....

I had the dimpled 3 step on my CA C.A.P. 65 "S" I thought it was a CAP dealio but i guess it was more widespread than that.

Well, I rarely remove jets, but when I do that's what I coat the threads with. Never had trouble with it. If you do it, keep us posted.
