Bench Seat Headrest Height?

Hello all. My son's 72 Duster has the bench seat with the integrated headrests. I've been searching the site for an answer but couldn't find it.

We will be ordering Legendary seat covers for it but we can't tell if it has the 7" or 9" headrests. Research says to measure from the top of the insert to the top of the head rest. The problem is the old covers have no insert. They must have been redone at some point.

Ball parking it, they appear to be 9". Is there another way to tell for sure?

If your looking at Legendary, I’d call and explain your situation and they may be able to give you another reference to measure from. I know when I ordered from them they were very helpful. Also get on they’re email list. I did and waited til around the Holidays and they had a 30% of sale they emailed out.

Actually, after looking at a few pictures of where the stock insert lays in conjunction with the "shoulders" of the backrest, our seats are definitely the 9" head rests.
7" would put the insert up into the head rest measuring from the top down..
