Got a PM today from member dartforforty, apparently he is now the new owner of the '65 Coronet I sold a few years back. I sold the car to a guy in PA, a few months after he has it, a hurricane decides to knock a huge tree on the back half of it. Broke my heart when he called me and told what happened. I figured the car was stripped and dumped. Well ............. turns out dartforforty bought the whole car from him and is in the process of putting it back together !!! His PM made my day, your the man Ed !!!!! Here is a link of the progress ...

No Kidding! Look at those body lines!

It's hard to find guys around here that take that much pride in their work. You can always tell by the results when somebody cares to do the job right the first time.

That looks a lot like a car out of San Diego area about 8-10 years ago.

Mark added a little color to the new panels until I get it back to him for the paint work.
May work on my motor and slip it into the engine bay

Hey dartforforty, you need to change out those valve covers. Somebody punched holes in the middle and patched them up with duct tape. ;-)

And to top it off your putting a HEMI under the hood ! nice ! ..... What are you doing with the 440 that was in the car ? .... If you need info on anything just give me call.. That trans was built just before I sold it, very good unit ...
Erik

by the way, please keep those stickers that are on the L/R window. They are old ! The TMC one is our clubs first logo, from the mid 80's... The Ed Miller one is older than that I think, when he saw it he was shocked to see it still on a car ! If you don't want them, remove carefully and send to me !!

glad to hear I made your day better. Car was/is way too solid to part out.
The hemi is an after thought. I want to run the car with the 440 first, to sort it out. I will more than likely keep the 440 for another project when and if I take it out. Car needs a roll cage for the hemi any way.
Still have to buy some new Cal Trac parts to replace the bent ones, shock plate, leaf spring, and shocks.
The old stickers will stay on the car as long as I own it, as I am Old School lol
I'll give you a call soon to ask a few tech questions.
Ed
