Best tranny setup for my a-100 van??
Hi , i.m looking to swap my 170 engine to a 225 on my A100 and i would like to Know What you think about That..... I got a manual Three on the tree ( 3 speed) and a 904 auto tranny already installed on my new 225 who's from a '68 dodge dart .... The question is... What could be the best think to do with That? Pût my actual manual tranny from my 170 to the 225 or swap from manual to auto?? Even if i got ta need to change pédal assembly and shifter ... Thanks for your help!!

I think it all comes down to your personal preference and how much work you're willin' to put into the project. I the three speed and linkage is working and you're OK driving it, the easiest thing would be to bolt the 225 to the tranny you have and be happy.

Putting the 225& 904 into the van will take some fabrication for the shift linkage and kickdown, but I'm pretty sure you can just remove the clutch pedal. Good luck!

Make sure the 225 has a pilot bushing if you stick with the three on the tree.

You got pics? I wanna see how you mounted two transmissions on your engine.
