I am putting together a Novi 1500 , 440, 6 to 8 psi boost
Quesstion
I have an MSD 6AL ignition and I thought MSD offered a simple boost ref add on timing retard but I cannot find it.
For my initial Drive/ tuning can I retard the timing to say 22 degrees until I update the MSD to a unit with a boost ref retard?

BTM Boost TIming Master is all I can remember.

Personally, I'd recommend the Accel 300+ & 375+ Combo.

Way more features than the 6AL and Digital 6 offer, programmable with a handheld remote too (that also functions as gauges). No Dial/Switch crap to mess with, you can put the ignition components out of the way and use the remote to handle everything instead.

I have the 300+/375+ combo on my vehicles and love it.

My bad...I was remembering the wrong units specs.....confusing different units...its the 6530...6AL-2 I was thinking about....although your right the Digital 6+ is a nice piece and one would have to accessorize it for best operation....

But what I liked about the 6AL-2 was:

Laptop Programmable

Fully Tuneable Boost Timing Curve down to .01* every 100rpm

3 rev limits

That's the one!

Yep. That's what I run. For the guy with a old School 6al that only wants 10 psi the btm is fine.

X2 on the msd 6AL 2 programmable, you'll need a map sensor also and make sure to spend some money on a good wideband for your afr readings

Thanks, I am on a budget and the Boost Timing Master was the answer. $250 and I retain my 6AL.
