Anyone selling the plate and or the rivets ? Did a small search and didn't see anything.

Could just leave it off, block off the heat cross over so it does not cook the oil.

Summer Car . . .

Those plates trap a lot of carbon behind them.

Newer intakes don't use the plates.

Mcmaster carr has rivets like those iirc

Or drill it an tap it for small screws. I would leave it off

if you block the exhaust crossover ports, that part wont get hot enough to coke without the plate on it.

Thanks for the replies - have the plates on used manifolds but using a NOS 273 manifold on this build that didn't come with one.

If you want a plate, make a template of the size you need. Drill and tap holes to 1/4".
Plate can be steel or aluminum.

or just get a valley plate that anchors to the cam-windows.
That oil can get hotter than the coolant, and when it splashes up on the bottom of YOUR intake with a missing plate, it will transfer some of it's heat into the cast iron .This will happen irregardless of if the crossover is blocked or not. But at least the blocked crossover will delay the heat from getting to the plenum above it. The valley plate will help prevent the oil from getting up there in the first place.
Or just run a small-plenum, aluminum, Airgap type intake.
Or maybe a Dual-Port,lol. I bet a 273 could love that intake.

I made this out of phenolic plate. No more oil leaks at the china walls.

Sorry, won’t work with stock intake. Forgot my heat crossover has been milled off.
