I stumbled upon a thread that mentioned that the '68-'69 seat tracks are a little taller than the '70-'72 seat tracks but they didn't say by how much. Does anyone know what the actual height difference is? Thanks.

If anything I'd believe just the opposite is true. My 68 came with 71 buckets and I feel like a little kid sitting in his dad's car. (I'm 6'-0) I'm seriously thinking of adding spacers under the tracks.
I may have a definitive answer soon as they are coming out to do some floor pan hump work. I have 68 seats I can compare them to but it may not be in the next few days.

Yea, If you could do that I would appreciate it. From what I found so far, the only reproduction seat tracks out there are for the '70-'72. So there has to be some kind of difference if they aren't advertising them for the earlier cars as well.

I got that wrong in my previous post, we were both saying the same thing. I just put a 68 passenger seat beside a 71 driver seat. The 71 seat track is 3/4" shorter. 2" vs. 2-3/4". I took measurements on each and the height of the seat cushions are the same. (Not shown) The floor stud pattern is identical between the 2 years. For picture reference, the 71 CA tracks are pristine and the 68 Ohio tracks are a little rusty.
It was a pain to drag the 68 seat out of storage but thanks for getting me off my butt to check. Now I know why I feel so short with the 71s in my 68.

Thank you for checking that.
