Well it looks like I am going to be buying a 64 valant off my son. I have a gen3 hemi stroker kit I was going to use. But for now I was thinking about building the spare 360 magnum engine I have or pull the 360 magnum out of my dakota. Ok my question is does any company make race headers for it? I am looking for 1-7/8 ones and so far all I can find is 1-5/8. Fender well is fine with me. This is going to be a race car. The engine in my 91 dakota with a slipping converter has ran a best of 11.24 at 116 in the 1/4 and 7.15 at 96 in the 1/8. I am guessing my dakota weighes 3300/3400 pounds with me in it. So I hope I pick up some ET with just the weight difference of the 64. Does any body know what the 64 valiant with v8 weighes? The engine has aluminum heads and will have a 8-3/4 or Dana 60 rear-end.

I have a set of race headers but I’m up here in Minnesota....not sure the brand, been in a barn for 40+ years hanging on the wall but never used

My 66 Valiant with a 528 wedge Aluminum heads, intake, carb, mezeiri wp and aluminum motor plate with Dana 60 weighs 3130.....that also has a glass hood and lexan windows everywhere! However I also have a Lenco and Browell bell and they are both heavy and a Mega block which I'm told is 150# more than a std 440. So an automatic small block should weigh at least 250 less than my non factory BB engine and an aluminum automatic I'm guessing at least 100 less. 8.75 grenaded after the first 7200 shift.

How much cage do you have in your car, 10 or 12 pt ?

Without looking into the internet archives I'd guess the valiant is around 2700. I'll see if I can find a for sure

Damn sounds like a awesome car you have

Looking forward to watching your build. Probably going with the magnum should save you some work over using the Hemi.

Well looks like my 64 is a 65 plymouth valant. My son told me wrong. Lol I will post build photos but its going to be a slow build for me

my brother used the 63-66 A body TTI step headers on his 66 Dart. 408 stroker
Tight fit, but they fit. Figure on a weekend, mixed with cussing and swearing
