CONGRADULATIONS
Like the style of the older houses, hope you don't get tired of the colors of the early 60's
On your hardwood floors going dark, whoever cleans them will hate them. They show everything, I would suggest leaving as light as you can. If you sand and refinish if there is any stains try to beach them out to keep it light. Also makes the room look smaller with dark colors
