cable driven tach?

They are always on eBay. Jones, Moroso or Stewart Warner are common.
Patience can land you a decent deal. Some are priced quite unbelievable and never sell.
Jones and Moroso take the same large square cable end.7/8" Stewart Warner is a different (smaller) size. 5/8"
Jones and Moroso are heavier than a Stewart Warner if weight matters.
They are all very good accurate tach's.
The Mopar iron tach drive distributors take a larger cable end than
the aluminum Mopar distributors. Accel/small, Mallory/large.
Old speedometer repair shops can make you a cable with the correct ends if needed.
A search should find you a couple places. Vintage heavy truck and boat use the same stuff.
Napa used to keep the parts but my local store no longer does as of the last couple years.
