Cam bolt change?

I,m about to change my waterpump to electric waterpump also manual fuelpump to electric Holley blue pump.Do I need to change the cam bolt with eccentric to just a cam bolt and washer?Some guys have different views with this.Not looking forward to pulling the dampner and timing chain case.With my luck it will leak after replacing it.My stroked 410SB is out of the car.Thanks for any insight.:study:

Leave it, just use a block off plate where the pump mounted.

Ditto, leave it. If the engine was apart then I would use the bigger washer and bolt like this........

I hate pulling the front cover on a SBM with the pan still on. I have not had good luck getting them not to leak either. The rubber gasket on the bottom always seems to try and fold over........PITA

I,m more worried about getting my ATI dampner off.I could,ve bought a car with what I paid for it.LOL.I have no leaks now and like to keep it that way.Now get back to work on your TT Louis.LOL:snakeman:

I would just pull the manual pump and leave the eccentric on the front of the cam. No reason to upset the seals and gaskets to remove it. toolman
