I just picked up a edelbrock chrysler small block 6 pack intake with two carbs. Im missing the center carbs. I beleive this is all stock 340 6pk parts. Origionally i thought about using the setup on my dart but i really dont want to go away from my 340 dual scoop hood. So kinda thinking about selling/trading this toward some edelbrock heads to fund my 340 build. Is there anyway to find a value or identify the part numbers to what this was origionally on?? should i find a center carb or sell without??? Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
mark

post the numbers off the carbs...and they are dated coded also...

Don't need to go away from the duel scoop hood. Mine fit perfectly under there. I'm sure a member here would love to separate you from them if you do not want them. All that I know is there is no better feeling as when they all kick in !!!

Hmmm. That might make me change my mind. Do you still use a regular 6pk air cleaner also? My only other worry will be tuning them in. I'm use to syncing snowmobile/motorcycle carbs.

The intake is stamped 341868
Front carb 0500 List 4789
Rear carb 0430 List 4790

Those are the numbers on main body of carb. Where will the date code be listed? Are these the correct number to identify the carbs?

Yes I do. The air cleaner is a little bit pricey, but the air filter is a least being reproduced now. Plenty of articles on how to tune them if you are mechanically inclined. I just rebuilt mine last season and it wasn't bad price wise ( I think it was $60 for the rebuild kit for all three )

Shifting the 4 speed with a 3:91rear gear is AWESOME. I just love it when they all kick in!!!!!!!

Front and rear 340-6 carbs

0430 = 43rd day of 1970
0500 = 50th day of 1970

Thanks crackedback! Is there a website with the build numbers? Looks like I could prob figure it out for the center carb though seeing the pattern for build stamp.
