Moving rear end back. There are other threads but this is a good
No just want to make it sit lower with some meats I knew I needed a longer driveshaft. I Was going to just drill the holes in my relocation boxes up front but didn't know what effect that has on the rear shackles and what needs done back there mini tubbing it now the springs are already moved inStart researching and talk to various people. Are you looking to make this into a corner carver? or just a daily driver thats a bit lower. Many ways to do stuff.
1/2" shouldn't be a problem with the driveshaft but that might not be enough to make a difference for tire clearance. Don't worry about the shackles and their angle. As springs weaken they flatten out and the shackles move rearward naturally.
Fisher, where did you get those bolts. I was looking for a set when I was moving stuff around under the car a few months back. I couldn't find any.
Looks like the "proverbial 1/2" kit ". Ever see a really hi H.P. car move w/ it`s rear wheels moved back ? No , they always move them forward if their going to be moved.Thanks. I tried fastenal and they had nothing. Where did the kit come from?
Nope. The shape of the front of the wheel opening restricts large tires. Move the axle back for more tire clearance in the front. There's plenty of clearance in the rear.Looks like the "proverbial 1/2" kit ". Ever see a really hi H.P. car move w/ it`s rear wheels moved back ?
