I have a basic dart cluster out of our 76 Dart.

I'm looking to have it just tested out, and repaired as required. Not restored / repainted. The car is just a s6 driver and needs to work.

recomendations? cost? turnaround time? thanks.

Sounds like you want to have someone restore it. Why not do that yourself and save big $$$ for shipping? Many posts. What I did in my 65:
1. cleaned all connectors - fine sand paper, alcohol. Used di-electric grease.
2. installed electronic Vreg ($30 ebay)
3. installed LED bulbs (ebay, cheap, search bulb#)
4. removed and polished clear lenses.
5. checked speedometer for shaft wobble (OK). I had to get my 65 Newport's rebushed decades ago.
6. removed degraded chrome coating (soak in Super Clean) and re-chromed (not real) coated all dash plastic at Sacramento Chrome (~$110)

What I should have done:
Checked for loose solder joints on the circular connector. Read about the problem later.

pulled the cluster apart.

found some corroded traces. cleaned them all up and checked resistance end to end. ammeter trace "open".

Anyone know how to check the function of the ammeter, gas gauge and temp gauge out of the cluster?

Mike

The ALT' gauge or "ammeter" doesn't use or have a trace on the circuit board.
Maybe you should send it off after all. Good luck
