Drove out to Craig for work yesterday and figured I'd stop and grab some pics. These are off of Rabbit Ears Pass looking down on Stage Coach Resevior. Enjoy!

looks like most of the trees that are supposed to be green are green up there .......

wayyyy down south down here near La Veta/ Alamosa area ...a lot of the trees that are supposed to be green are brown and it looks horrible ...they are saying some kind of bettle is killing the trees and growth ....its quite disturbing.

I have seen this before and I think we call them bores or something Like that Rani, they look like a bumble bee and they are black and bore holes in these trees and it kills them...... Forestry commission here had to do some kind of eradication of some kind about 3 years ago I believe, Yep, here in Arkansas.

Yep, freaking pine beetles. Forest fires used to kill them off but we stop forest fires for obvious reasons. Long term cold snaps will kill them too but the winters have been relatively mild for a long time now.

When's the meet Higgs? I ended up on call for work during the Wash Park meet and greet.
