Column pointer

I have a 72 Dart that I switched from a 904 to a 727 and my column pointer don't match up. I've tried adjusting the linkage to no avail. what would be the fix. Thanks for taking the time to help.

The selector shaft on the trans is probably not the same length as the 904

If you still have it you can see if it can be swapped

It would be the wrong lever on the trans. 904 and 727 have different levers

I did put a new cross over link. But I think oldmanmopar has great pictures I'm thinking I need the transmission lever. I want to thank everyone for your help.

Just the pointer on the dash is off? That's adjustable in and of itself ..
I don't pay attention to it, PRND hasn't changed. 3 clicks down is Drive, don't need no pointer to tell me that
