Oh yes, rotate it and you will see the end of the shaft on either side.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but you should really pull it apart and inspect it, the springs tell me it may be worn out.

FWIW, these will fit in a large flat rate box. The box will be bulging and you will have to tape it good, but it will fit and the PO will have to ship it. I have shipped many this way.

I shipped my Dodge cummins saginaw power steering gear box usps flat rate to have it rebuilt. $20 for that, RRR that is a great suggestion... Those boxes are pretty big.
