Here goes I noticed tonight that I suddenly have awesome performance. Enough that as I was leaving the gas station I squealed the wheels. It has gotten cooler and I know from my motorcycle that carburetors tend took like cooler air better but this feels like much more. Any ideas what could been going on? Is it possible I am running to rich and the colder air is stabilizing it better?

It's easy to get tires to spin at a gas station, there is oil all over the place. Check the timing, it may have advanced a little.

Magnumdart I would normally agree but this gas station is actually pretty clean but that was just an example of what I felt. I like the timing idea.

Mr Hemi what do you mean?

maybe your car likes money bein spent on it so it sped up a bit? colder air does affect hp however somedays my car feels slow n other days it feels like it wheelies

Well thats not good 70aarcuda. Anything I can do or look at or measure? Am I being paranoid?

You can't it is on the edge of the universe near the restaurant at the end of the universe. Been listening to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy today.

I wish it was the Gas but I don't think so otherwise my hemi charger would be uncontrollable.

Did you remember to deposit your penny so you can afford eating at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe?

probably the weather, a cool night with nice dense air makes a whole lot of difference

i had something similar happen in my 65 plymouth with a 6... i was just driving along and all of a sudden it just took off lol... got to the next light and it was idling high... then went to take off and it was a dog... drove a bit and it took off again...

well the dizzy hold down came loose and the dizzy was spinning around so it was adv/retarding on its own lol...

The recent cool-off and dry air coming down can make at least a tenth or two difference at the race track and could be noticable on the street. It has been a hot and humid summer here in the Southeast. It could be the jetting and/or the accellerator pump circuit being on the rich side for the summer.

I appreciate the confirmation of my original idea. Thank you guys. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I needed to worry about.
