Does anyone know what color the trunk mat would be for a 1966 Valiant Signet? The original color of the car is gold. With that said, would the trunk mat be gold plaid? Or was it the gray plaid pattern?

The 68 Road Runner I restored was JJ1 Harvest Gold,, and it had the grey mat in it. It was a survivor car before I restored it...
AFAIK they were all gray plaid, EXCEPT for 67-69 Barracuda fastbacks (IDK about the early fish), which had a black mat with a heavy burlap-like texture. My explanation for that is they knew you could see the trunk mat when you had the divider board down, so they didn't want a different color & pattern showing. If you had black carpet, it all matched. Of course, if you had red carpet, it wouldn't, but at least it wouldn't be plaid ;)
