Aloha! I don't know if this topic has been talked about but I found this product a few years back and it just works great on electrical contacts found in our older cars.

Here is a link. Click on their 1001 uses.

This product is totally worth it. It's Awesome.

No I don't work for them. Just wanted to rave about a great product.

The MSDS sheet just says "proprietary hydrocarbons" with an aerosol propellant. Could just be WD-40 w/ fancy marketing. I use silicone "dielectric grease" on all electrical connections, after cleaning them with "contact cleaner". That is used in all modern auto connectors (weather-pak, metri-pak, etc).

X2 on the bold letters.

Sounds good guys. I've used WD-40 and Corrosion Block. They are not the same. I hear you on the dielectric grease. Also this stuff is great out in the field on non-car stuff too. If what you are using is working...cool. Just giving options.

Mahalo!

USE STABILANT-22 IT HAS THE APPROVAL OF THE OEM FOR PREVENTING CORROSION IN SRS CONNECTORS. IF THE AUTO MAKERS TRUST IT IN THEIR RESTRAINT SYSTEMS THEN YOU CAN TRUST IT TOO. THINK HOW MUCH LIABILITY THEY ARE EXPOSED TO WITH SRS COMPONENTS SO IF THEY ARE WILLING TO APPROVE A PRODUCT IT TRULY WORKS AS ADVERTISED. IT ISN'T CHEAP BUT IT GOES A LONG WAY.
