Cost for 727?

What do you guys think I can expect to pay for a 727 core and a decent rebuild? The 383 should make around 400 horse and I would guess around 440 foot pounds or so. I just want the tranny to shift a little firmer than stock and will probably go with around a 2400-2600 stall convertor. Cores around here will probably fetch around 50-75 bucks or so but I dont know what I should expect for a rebuild. Thanks!

Around these parts, my trans guy will build me any trans for $400.00, complete with anything I'd like to do to it. If I supply the parts, he'll do it. That price includes a new stock converter too, but I rarely take him up on those. If you were anywhere near me, you could have any one of the good rebuildable cores I have for $75.00. yup. depends on the guy.. You need a stock rebuild with a shift kit. So somewhere around $600 with your core is what Id expect. PLus the convertor.
