Could a flat black hood be ordered in 73 and 74?

Anybody know if you could get a flat black hood in 73 or 74 on a Duster from the factory

Wikipedia only mentions the black hood on the '71 340s with the sharktooth grille.

I believe the Twister had black stripes on the sides of the hood in front of the 69 Cuda scoops. Not sure if that was standard or optional.

Yes. I had a 73' 340 Duster that had the V21 option. I have a thread somewhere on it on FABO.

73/74 did not have a completely Black-out hood like the previous years. Only a Wrap-Around Blackout. Code V21 - Performance Hood Treatment

I only know of 340's and Twisters being able to option it.

The V21 code is exactly what 72bluNblu posted Sans the scoops

340's = could option the V21 Code
Twisters = could option the V21 and J54 Sport Scoops Codes

That was from a few years ago. The black was originally flat, but the above was gloss painted by my uncle. When I had it restored/modded, the shop doing the work didn't want to paint it flat because it would be too hard to fix if anything go in the paint, so he got it wrapped in black vinyl.

That was standard, along with the scoops, on the Twister option in 73. I'm pretty sure it was an option on the 340.
