Cross members compatibility

Hi all

I plan to install an 833 gearbox into my '71 /6 Demon.
By now, the car still has its original 3-speed 230.
The 230 cross member on car is in a very good shape, but the extra 833 cross member I have, needs a total restauration.

The question is : are A-bodies 230 and 833 cross members similar and interchangeable?
If yes, I could re-use the 230 cross member...

Yes. 67-72 stick cars use the same crossmember. I'm converting mine right now.

I took mine down to bare steel and painted it with chassis paint.

Sorry to hijack, but will my crossmember I am using for my 727 in my 71 Duster work on the A833 that is going in?
