Dashboard Work

I need to do some work inside the dash.....Do I have to take the windshield out to get the dash out ? I have a 1973 Scamp.....Thanks

I think if you want the dash frame out...yes the w/s has to come out. Someone with a 73 will chime in though..

I need to replace the heater core, hook up the wiper linkage, I think it would be easier to just remove the top if possible....?

We did the same thing in dads 67 with the dash frame in..take both the front seats out(if buckets) or bench out...it will make the job a buttload easier!!

I am going to need to get mine out at some point also. If you search this site you will find a number of posts on it. Not easy, but some say they have done it without pulling the windshield. I have rust/leaks around cowl and windshield, so it's a no brainer for me. Unless you have other issues, I would not pull the dash to work on heater or wipers.
