Demon Glove Box Latch.....!!!!!!!

Without going to a locksmith here in Orlando (money, money...), HOW do I get the chrome latch handle and cylinder OUT of the latch mechanism?? I can't restore the dash without removing the latch from the door

There's no key....this is the econo model....just has a pinhole in the front of the chrome latch handle...I've accessed the hole, trying to find a release for the cylinder......Try as I might, I can figure NO way to get this thing out.......makin' me nuts....... I must be missin' somethin' simple here.............Anybody help me out?
