I'm trying to have a 1971 demon shipped from Illinois to California. The car is a rolling chassis with full roll cage, just the driver's seat. Could you guys give me a general idea of what this thing might weigh? The roll cage is mild Steel.

The hood decklid and one Fender are fiberglass, thanks I forgot to mention that.
I believe the bumpers are fiberglass as well.

My 71 demon weights 2700 no driver..has glass bumpers and hood and trunk lid.

My guess would be around 2000-2200 lbs

Thanks for the reply, that's about what my Dad was thinking as well.

I've got all the parts together to build a twin-turbo small block but I don't want to cut up the 73 duster that I have now. My dad bought this demon last year and isn't going to do anything with it. it's pretty much ready to go, needs to be gone over and updated. I will post a few pics in a bit.

And if Crackedback is watching, there is the window trim I purchased from you.

Yes they are! Those are staying with my dad though. Cool story behind them, he owned them back in the early 70's. Sold the the car with the wheels about 75'. Last year he found a set on Craigslist, went to check them out.....THEY WERE THE SAME ONE'S!
Still had the original rubber he'd put on the fronts....40 years ago. The rears he had widened to take larger slicks, so he knew they were his! The fronts still held air!
Here is a pic from about 73', those are the same wheels!

The Demon has some drag light knock offs it came with, Dad just used the keystones to move the car around. He had put the "drag lites" in shop, out of the weather.
The Challenger is another story....it was a 1 of 1 car....
