Hey guys,

I am trying to pull the steering column out of my 1971 dodge dart swinger. It is all unbolted and hanging down from the car but I can't seem to pull it out from the gear box. What's going on? Anyone know the trick to removing this? Thanks.

Remove the roll pin if you want to take the coupling off too.

Or you could just slip the dowel pin back and slip the guts out of the coupling body and leave the coupling attached to the gear box.

Thanks for the picture that's a great reference for me. I have not removed any pins because I can't see any pins in the column assembly. All I see is a hole that runs through to the other side. It is stuck though still can't pull the column out. I know I'm probably missing something really simple but I just can't seem to find the cause.....hmmmm?
