Can anyone tell me how to decode the #'s on a distributor. I have 3 Prestolite dual points
One which I know is a factory Race Hemi W/tach drive . of the other 2 only 1 has a tag, and because the shaft is the same length as the hemi I'm thinking it would be either another Hemi or 440 or 6pack. The shaft on the third is shorter, so I don't know if this would be 383, or 340. I have many electronic distributors but I don't know if they are B, RB, or small block. I only have 1 assembled running small block, and i don't really want to pull it out. Anyone tell me if small block distributors are shorter than RB blocks.
