Well ive been thinking hard on getting a newer car lately and i cant really think of anything (besides an old mopar) that i want, a srt4 crossed my mind but to much money and i probably wont be able to buy one, and they have all been rodded on around here. I would like to get a shelby version, prefer turbo II (2) with the inter cooler but no biggy and definatly a 5 speed. Also if anyone has any good places for info on these engines/cars i would appreciate it. Thanks guys

I have a 89 Dayton Shelby that I have yet to do anything with. I dont even know if it runs, LOL

I had a 92 Talon TSI also but blew the motor years ago and it sat so I gave that to my cousin who needed a car. Of coarse he turned around and sold it.

For FWD turbo info you can go to.

It;s easy to get 300hp out of these little cars

If you lived closer I could even set you up with a car!!

Just a word of caution if you are looking at cars in the snow belt. I purchased a Daytona Turbo new in 85 and the car below used with 20k miles in 91. The picture of the 89 is actually from thedodgegarage.com web page above. This is what it looked like when I sold it to Gary Donovan. He parted it out because underneath it was rotted out. My 85 and the 86 my son had also rotted out at the firewall to floor pan joint. Anything you look at examine the welded joint between the floor pan and firewall and where the rear suspension arms attach to the floor pan real closely. As you can see from mine it looked real good top side and the interior was perfect as was the T2 and tranny.

FWIW, I still have a turbo mopar, it's an 03 PT Cruiser GT Turbo.

Gotta admit it, I love my turbo car. It's not as fast as many, but it isa blast to drive. Definitely have to agree that they can suffer from some serious frame rust especially here in salt/snow belt, so check em out carefully underneath. Luckily, miine was from BC, and is 100% rust free. My brother imported an 86 Conquest, and it's even more fun with the rwd. Don't overlook these either.

Would you be interested in a Shelby Z turbo II intercooled NHRA stocker?
