Doug's 453 headers; big bars?

Anybody have any fitment issues with 1.03+ bars?

I'd like to order them coated and do them in one shot. Hoping not to bang and clang. Planning a 1.12 Firm Feel bar.

If you have 74 Spool-mount K-Frame... Should be ok. I have a /6 k-frame with schumauker conversion mounts .890 bars. Lots of room. Also your K- frame placed the engine higher and to the rear, my guess is you should be ok. I like the Dougs Headers except the #8 tube is to close to inner for my liking. I had them coated by a local coater, more bang for the buck.. Better coating for the thickness applied, inside and out for $325.00

PoisonDart74 .. good question! I have my brand new Doug's sitting in a box in the corner of my living room. I plan to go to either 1.03 or 1.06 bars and wondered the same thing. I look forward to other's experience as well.

They clear my 1.00 bars. Don't think another .015" all around will hit anything. Z-bar, bell housing.......that's another story
