Driveshaft direction...

Building a car that's been in parts & I wonder what way to put the driveshaft?
It's one of those that's narrow in one end:

The SLIP YOKE is attached to the larger diameter end of the driveshaft.

The PINION YOKE is attached to the tapered end of the driveshaft.
 
driveshaft direction is parallel to the wheelbase unless you break a u joint or yoke in which case it can go crosswise horizontally and pole you so you'll never notice
