I just got a driveshaft for my 67 Dart and bought a slip yoke for the trans separate. Does it matter which end the slip yoke is put on. The driveshaft measures the same on both ends from where the neck down starts up to the welds. Weights look the same on both ends. Let me know what you think, I would like to put it in tonight. Thanks in advance.

If the tube is tapered to a smaller diameter at one end , that end goes to the rear.

They look the same, but I will check this evening to make sure.

Put the driveshaft in tonight. Everything measured the same on both ends. Only thing different was the weight on each end. One end had a #1 stamped on it and the other had a #2. I put the #1 end towards the trans. Probably doesn't matter, but it is just a peace of mind thing.
