driveshaft questions

So I am wondering about my driveshaft - more so if I'll be able to use it - going from a 225 6/904/7.25 to 383/727/8 3/4 - I put new u joints in the stock shaft (I realize I'll need a 727 trans yoke) The motor is going to be 95% stock so it should handle the power

but will the length/ u joint size work with the 727/ 8 3/4?
 
727 trans in longer than a 904 and the 8 3/4 has a longer yoke to axle centerline. So you will need a shorter driveshaft.
 
I would have a new one made, I had a driveline shop here in St. Cloud build me one, all I gave them was the trans yoke, price was good too. Diesel truck shops may also build them, Catco diesel shop here does. All I had to do was tell them my diff yoke size and measured from the diff yoke to the trans tail shaft and they took it from there.
