Has anyone used a universal battery tray in their 70 to 75 a body, I'm having a hard time justifying spending $90.00 on a battery tray hold down, bolts and bracket when I could buy a universal from Jegs for $20. Anyone gone this route?

They might be out of stock but, I recently bought one for my ‘75 Dart Sport and, it is a perfect fit (3 bolt holes lined up perfectly). Got it off Rockauto. Cost about $20 + shipping and is an aftermarket direct fit (not a universal).

Update: it’s now $9.49! Part number: GMK211130067 by Goodmark. I believe this same tray would work for your ‘73 Duster. The Dart Sport and Duster bodies share a lot in common.

Any leads on cheap hold downs, brace and bolt kit I literally have nothing.

I have a goodmark tray. Fits well. Had my local bedliner place coat it for me. Also try www.getallparts.com for this and more. See pic below. All goodmark PNs. Pretty reasonable IMHO. I have ordered from them before.
