Duster rear window latch removal?

Aloha! I just got 2 new shiny chrome window latches for the rear popout windows....how and de heck do you remove them? I can unscrew it from the glass side no problem...

But how can i pop the pin holding it to the base?

Is there a tool or do I need to fab something...or worse...remove the windows?

I can post pictures later, if I'm unclear.

I think you can simply use a small pin punch. They usually come in kits containing various sizes. See if you can get someone to back up the latch with a nut driver or something else that's hollow, so when you drive the pin out, it isn't hitting something solid. Never done it, but that's the way I would start looking at it.
