Electronic distributor

Looking for input on electronic distributor upgrade. What's a good choice for a 318 with 325HP? Is there a reasonably priced unit out there that gives good performance and is reliable? Let me know, thanks.

Get the mopar performance distributer the electronic distributer with vaccume advance. They are good distributers the news one made 2004 and later are made by mallory and they have the adjustable mechanical advance in them and you can order spring kits from ether summit or jegs to re-curve them. I got mine set up and i am very impressed with it.

How deep are your pocket's? If you have $350 or so,the MSD dist is nice.

I love the 42 series Mallory dist and use them all the time. All you need isa the dist and the coil they recommend for it and your good to go. Not extra wiring, not box to fry, super simple to install.

I tested one on a 600+HP Big Block agianst a 7 series MSD box with super hot E core coil. We gained 3 hp at 6000rpm. Woohoo........... and those 7 series MSD's are expensive.

I can hook you up with dist and coil for $325

For my setup I used a rebuilt stock single point distributor $40.00 at advanced then did a pertronix swap. I did the Ignitor III for $120 but you could do the Ignitor I and a Flame thrower coil for less than $100.

So that set up would be less than $150 and you would not have to add the orange box. my $.02
